I hate pictures like this. Not only for the clear abuse to the dog, but also for the extremely racist caricature it portrays. It isn’t cute and it sends the awful message that all Mexicans are like small yippy dogs. Ever see a movie with cartoon dogs where the chihuahua didn’t have a Hispanic accent? And every time one is portrayed, it also comes with the Mariachi get up, alcoholism, and laziness. Unacceptable in my book. Yes, chihuahuas originate in Mexico, but what breed symbolizes white Americans? The golden retriever? The hound? Those dogs say confidence rather than incompetence.
